Nora Brank

Nora has been practicing yoga and meditation since she was a very young child. Her dad was an avid yogi and introduced her to the sun salutations at the tender age of five. These days, Nora starts every day with a sun salute and thanks her yoga practice for her health and well being. She believes that yoga can instill all of it's practitioners with a flexibility, resilience and grace that they can use both on and off the mat.

Nora has a MA in philosophy from a program that allowed her to study both Eastern and Western texts. Her love and knowledge of the mystical traditions included in the Vedic texts guides and deepens her yoga practice. Nora Brank instructs the following:
  • HATHA :: Intermediate
  • In this steady-paced yoga class traditional asanas are held in accurate alignment with emphasis on building core strength, stamina, flexibility and balance as well as improving concentration and breath control.
    **Focused on refinement of the basics, the practice of Sun Salutations and introduction to revolved standing poses, hand balances, inversions and backbends. Using props when necessary, we move at a faster pace than in an All Levels class.

  • YOGA :: Yoga & Meditation
  • This gentle flow class is focused on the experience of being in your body and with your breath. Accessible to all levels, including beginners, this class is a combination of gentle & dynamic flow coupled with longer holds to help find alignment in our bodies, within ourselves, connect with clarity, humility, and love.
    We begin end class with Mindfulness Meditation – a subtle but very special practice that is often overlooked.

  • VINYASA :: All Levels
  • Integrating movement and breath, this class is aimed at the seasoned beginners and regular practitioners.
    - Introducing twists, some backbends, approachable inversions, be prepared to explore both beginning and intermediate poses. Modifications are given allowing the students to choose a more beginning or more advanced practice according to their needs.

  • VINYASA :: Advanced
  • This vigorously paced class offers dynamic transitions through poses and the opportunity to explore inversions, arm balances and backbends while building strength, balance, and flexibility. 

    Since this class involves a strength work and a faster pace, its best if you are already comfortable practicing sun salutations and have an intermediate level of fitness.

  • VINYASA :: Candlelight
  • Wind down your day by the candlelight. This well-rounded evening class infuses a vinyasa flow with quiet, cooling, relaxing restorative poses at the end and an extended savasana. Perfect to ease away the day and prepare you for a restful night's sleep.

  • Join Nora for this unique workshop on setting and KEEPING intentions for the New Year.
    2018 has a been a hard year for many. Please join us as we move into a healthier, happier, more intentional 2019 by developing more tools to care for ourselves and others around us. Yoga and meditation have immense power to heal, so let's use them to their maximum capabilities to bring more calm, wisdom and mindfulness into our lives and the lives of our loved ones.

    Join us as we set intentions for 2019 that will lead us into a new year where we thrive and are nourished. This program runs throughout January for 5 weeks. During this time, we will begin with an intention setting workshop where we explore our intentions and learn to formulate them for maximum effect. As we proceed over the weeks, we will train our intentions to become a lasting habits. We will start out the year with practicing 54 rounds of sun salutations, and as the weeks progress, we will add yoga and mediation to this formula in order to align our hearts, bodies and minds with our intentions. Nora will work with the needs of your body and your intention and assign a personalized, daily, 15 minute home practice specifically designed to maximize and deepen your individual home practice. We will meet once a week as a group to check in and practice assignments for the coming week.

    In the weekly sessions, expect to discuss your needs and progress with your intentions and home practice. This personalized approach has your success as a home practitioner at heart, to help make your yoga and meditation practice sustainable, easy for you to maintain, ultimately leading to the healing growth of your own most intention for the new year.
