What books do you always recommend to friends?

"I always recommend a book that my teacher recommended to me called "Don't sweat the small stuff ...and it's all small stuff" by Dr. Richard Carlson. I'll often find used copies and just grab it so I can give them away."

What did you do before yoga found you?

Before I found yoga I was a mess. Selfish and spiritually bankrupt. I was eager to blame my problems on everyone else and thought the world owed me something. Yoga has opened the door of willingness, continues to help me realize my truest, highest self, and allows me to find the bliss within that I was searching for.

About Chris Reed

Chris Reed took the first steps towards a more peaceful life with choosing to embrace a vegetarian lifestyle at the age of 11. It wasn’t until spring 2012, that he found the benefits of a yoga practice. Following years of looking for happiness from outside sources, yoga taught Chris to look within to find the answers he is seeking. Since his first yoga class Chris continues to learn and grow, trying to live a more spiritual life and be a more peaceful, present-minded individual. Stepping into the unknown, Chris recently relocated to Southern California to see what the universe might have in store. When off the mat, you can find Chris riding his beloved bicycle, sipping coffee, and DJ-ing around town.

 

Chris teaches a Monday/Friday 8am Vinyasa Flow class - Ashtanga based, influenced by his personal Jivamukti practice.

Chris Reed regularly instructs the following classes:

VINYASA :: Intermediate

Linking breath to movement, this class offers a faster pace practice, explores more complex movements and sequences including twists, backbends; options for inversions and arm balances layered over solid foundations. The teacher will encourage rest periods and offer modifications as needed.
